We built this app to collect as little of your data as possible. In plain terms: the iOS app has no user accounts, and there is no analytics and no advertising or tracking in either app. Most of your data never leaves your device.
Provider: DigiSmart Technology Ltd, company no. 13111564.
Contact: privacy@lituk.app
App: Life in the UK (“the app”, “LITUK”), an independent study aid for the official Life in the UK Test.
Your study data — lesson progress, answer history, spaced-repetition/mastery state, mock-test results and scores, diagnostic results, and your language settings — is stored only on your device. We do not have a copy and cannot see it.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your card or payment details. Apple’s handling of your payment is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
To deliver premium content and confirm your subscription, the app communicates with our servers. In doing so we process:
If you sign in with Google, we receive and store your email address and your Google account identifier. We receive nothing else from your Google account.
On the web app (lituk.app), an account is optional: it is created only if you sign up with an email address and password, or sign in with Google. If you have a web account, we store your email address, your password hash or Google account identifier, and your study progress. Using the web app anonymously — like the iOS app — stores nothing on our servers. We do not sell this data or share it with advertisers.
Tapping “Report an error” in the app opens a short form. When you send it we receive: the reference of the content item, the app/content version, the issue category you pick (for example “translation” or “question incorrect”), and the note you type, if you add one. Reports are anonymous — there is no name, email, or account attached — and the form asks you not to include personal information in the note. Our content team may be notified by email at content@lituk.app. Reports are processed to correct content and are covered by the same request metadata and security handling described above.
None. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
On-device data remains until you delete it or remove the app. Server-side request logs are kept only as long as needed for security and are then deleted (30 days). Our servers are located in the United Kingdom / EU.
The app is intended for adults preparing for the Life in the UK Test and is not directed at children.
Under UK GDPR you have rights including access, correction, erasure, and to object to processing. Because we hold no account and most data is on your device, you can erase the bulk of it yourself by deleting the app. For anything we process server-side, contact us at privacy@lituk.app. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
LITUK is an independent study aid and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Home Office or UK Government. Official Life in the UK Test bookings are made only at gov.uk (£50).
We may update this policy; the “Effective” date above shows the latest version and material changes will be noted in-app.
